Welcome to Disney For Families with Autism Spectrum Disorder
This site is for those who want to visit the Walt Disney World parks with family members that have been diagnoised with autism. We hope that this site will help you to plan a very magical trip with your family. This site, much like Walt Disney World, will always be growing, changing, and improving to give you the best information about traveling to Walt Disney World that we can provide. We are a family, and have a son diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We wanted to take him to Walt Disney World, but had many questions about how best to plan, given his condition. We scoured the web looking for information, and found great tips and advice. There were many resources available but information was scattered across multiple sites. We wanted to pull that all together in a single site to make planning easier for families living with ASD to plan their trip to Disney World. Much of the information on this site has been compiled and collated from those sources on the web. Credit is given to those who provided great tips and information, and you will find that we link to a number of terrific sites to help you with your planning. As a result of our planning, we have gone many times to Wald Disney World and had a blast as a family! We are not clinical experts with ASD, but like most parents we know our son and what appeals to him. We want to share what we've learned with you, and also to learn from you so we can help others have a magical time at the most magical place on earth!

It's the Whiz Kid Forte, and I'm autistic myself. I'm now taking online college classes and I live an hour near Walt Disney World! I'm looking forward to reading vital information on the site and I'll tell you what I think about various topics.

I'm Emily, the webmaster's niece. I'm their picture liason for Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. Once the Walt Disney World pictures and info is complete, the Disneyland info will be next, and I'll get pics of the attractions from both parks plus holiday decorations, events, and attraction changes.
Just found out about this site, and what a wonderful resource!!! Our beautiful 6 year old son was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when he was four after suspecting he was on te spectrum since he was 18 months old. He just returned from his fourth trip a little over a month ago, and there are many more trips in our future!!! I can't wait to learn so much more from fellow fans!!!
